This an amazing opportunity to join the Transportation sector and work in the Programme and Project Management Team.

Location:
Manchester & Leeds & Home based working

Salary: £30,000 - £34,500 Basic

Role and responsibilities:
 

The Resolute Group are working with a government transportation organisation that needs support within their Programme Management team.

Supporting the delivery of distinct elements of straightforward projects or contribute to the control/delivery of projects/programmes of work as required.

Providing support to the TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU), ensuring the rail service project is correctly coordinated, liaising with the different stakeholders to assist in the successful delivery of TRU contractual obligations. In addition, you will be required to support the processes needed to answer questions from government, stakeholders and members of the public on the performance of train services during TRU disruption. The primary aim of the role is to support the delivery of projects or contribute to the control/delivery of projects/programmes of work as required.

You will be required to support the processes needed to answer questions from various government stakeholders such as Department for Transport, Local Authorities, Network Rail, Train Operators and associated governing bodies. Gathering information, documentation and responses to any query related to your project.

You will be adept in problem-solving, possess good administration and organisational skills and have a background in either
  • Contract management coordination, project coordinator or handling documentation around contract obligations.  
You will need to be proactive and can develop credible relationships with key stakeholders.

You need to have a flexible and adaptable approach and the ability to think through complex issues to ensure the project goals are achieved. This is a hybrid role working between the office in Leeds 2-3 days a week home-based and 2-3 days a week or the Manchester office as required by the stakeholders.

Job Requirement


Experience:
  • Degree qualified – Flexible on the degree
  • Experience of working in a Corporate role, ideally within the Public sector so you are used to Local Authorities, DfT, NHS, Network Rail, National Highways etc..
