Project Manager – Highway maintenance

Covering the South East London region on minor works, repairs and new build developments highway infrastructure.

Salary£75,000 Basic + Car + Lodging if required + Package
LocationSouth East London

Role Description

The Resolute group is working in partnership with a Tier 1 contractor whose Highway division is growing due to several framework awards. As such we need a Project Manager to manage a number of minor Highway maintenance schemes across the South East London Region.

As the Project Manager your role with have various duties from Strategic to Operational, these could include:
  • Implement the company’s procedures for dealing with sub-contractors and ensure proper co-operation and coordination takes place between the various parties who may share the workplace/site.
  • Provide an overall health & safety plan for each site, making an adequate assessment of the risks involved, and ensuring that safe systems of work and method statements are produced, followed and reviewed.
  • Organise regular update meetings with the team to review specific progress on the sections and update the overall strategy if required. Give direction on key dates, critical path and areas of concern.
  • Prepare the management plan including those aspects which are relevant to the project. Including full progress reports covering Programme, Costing, Resources, Project review etc..
  • Monitor labour and plant costs on a weekly basis against planned activity.

This role is site-based, managing multiple smaller projects, with the Site Supervisors running the individual sites on a day-to-day basis. Your role will be visiting the different projects and ensuring they are running smoothly and correctly set up from both a compliance and permit aspect.

Job Requirement


Required Experience
  • HNC / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject.
  • Project Management experience in delivering Highway Maintenance projects.
