Project Manager – Major programmes

An amazing opportunity to join AWE’s £12bn investment programme, working with the client in managing the various projects within the programme.

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 Basic + Car + Package + Lodgings if required.
Location: AWE Aldermaston

Role Description
The Resolute group has been retained to identify and secure a Project Management professional, someone used to being part of major programmes of work and working directly for the client. This could be via Direct employment or through a consultancy on a secondment basis.

This role is working for a consultancy that is one of the Programme partners in delivering to £12bn investment over the next 12 years. With various projects on the site from demolition and remediation, New build buildings and, Infrastructure improvements. Sitting between the client and contractor delivering the scheme.

We need someone who has a mix of programme delivery so you understand the interface between the client and contractor. Through to a technical and commercial understanding so you can control the risk and contractual mitigation that can happen on a programme of this scale.

You don’t need to be a specialist in the Nuclear sector as this role is about transferable skills, taking your understanding of how to deliver a major programme and working alongside a team of project managers. Each delivers a package of work, reporting into the Senior Project Manager for your section of work.

Required Experience
  • Degree in Construction / Civil Engineering / Commercial or related subject.
  • Project / Programme Management experience in delivering large build programmes (£100m+)
  • 5 years of UK experience to allow for a smooth security check, working on AWE site means you need the highest level of security clearance.
  • This role is on site 3 days a week so you need to be able to live or lodge in the local region.
