TBM Tunnelling Director
Excellent opportunity to lead a $1 billion mega project in Saudi Arabia based out of Riyadh, working with one of the world's largest contractors.
Location: - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 + Ex-pat package
Role Description
The Resolute Group has been retained by an international contractor involved with bidding, winning and delivering the Riyadh metro line 7 project.
Leading the Tunnelling function this project is delivering 65km of new line including 19 stations linking the King Salaman Airport to Riyadh. This role is working alongside the Project Director leading the Bid and JV, taking ownership of the Tunnelling function from the Technical & Commercial perspective.
Your role is working with the JV partners in leading the tunnelling aspects of the project. Managing the TBM aspect with the leadership team, with a small team of tunnelling experts and associated consultancies providing the design services. You will bring the TBM bid together, looking at the costings, technical assurance, logistics and procurement as well as the build aspects of tunnel.
We need someone looking to focus on bidding and securing the work in the first instance, then once the project is secured take the contract through to mobilisation and successful delivery of the TBM tunnel. Aiming for a 8-year delivery time subject to delays and contractual changes, which means we need either:
You do need experience of leading a large TBM Tunnel in the Middle East be it KSA, or UAE. If not other experience working on other international schemes linked to Rail tunnels or large TBM drives would be considered.

You must be able to qualify for a working Visa and able to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to be eligible for this position.

- 1 year fixed term contract to win the project if you don’t want to stay in Saudi Arabia
- Full commitment to Bidding, Winning and Delivering the scheme living in Riyadh for the duration.
You do need experience of leading a large TBM Tunnel in the Middle East be it KSA, or UAE. If not other experience working on other international schemes linked to Rail tunnels or large TBM drives would be considered.
Qualifications / Experience
- Degree – Minimum requirement, ideally in an Engineering subject.
- Aged 60 or under to be able to secure a Visa in Riyadh
- Mega TBM project experience, must have been on a Tender or Bid as you will be leading this for the next 6 months.
